First thanks for this great module.

I tried to import some content through FeedAPI but I came across of couple of issues like when I try to choose dirigg as content type (Create content > Feed > Processors > FeedAPI Node - create nodes from feed items > grigg) after I submit and import feed items, it will use Story as content type (instead of drigg).
I don't think this issue is related to Feed API as it works properly with other content types and even custom made content types but for some reason it doesn't work with drigg.

If I repeat the above process and delete the feed items and try again ( by clicking on refresh button) it will generate the following error for each item:

user warning: Duplicate entry '' for key 3 query: INSERT INTO drigg_node (dnid, promoted_on,killed,url, title_url, safe_section, content_type,trackback_ping_url, trackback_ping_successful) VALUES (86, 0, 0, '', 'Auto_starting_Your_WiFi_Connection_in_Easy_Mode', '', '', '', 1) in /home/testapp/public_html/includes/database.mysql.inc on line 172.

and then if it supposed to import 10 items it just shows 8 error message and just imports 2 items, and this time those two items are under drigg content type, and another problem here is, there is noway to rate those posts because the feedapi can not automatically fill URl for the post item and if URL is not there Drigg doesn't allow rating so it means I have to go through each post one by one to fix them.

FeedAPI will put a link to original post at the bottom of the post in teaser view, and it was good if we could use that url to fill the original post url in drigg content type.

Thanks,
Mehran

Hi,

Help...
I have never, ever seen the FeedAPI before in my life.
Is there _any_ way you can get one of the FeedAPI developers to come around here, and help me out with this?

I am happy to install FeedAPI and go through them, but only if I have some _informed_ support in the process. Otherwise, it will just take too many hours...

I have no idea how FeedAPI can fill in a Drigg node correctly, One thing I can tell you, is that $node->url really, really needs to be filled in, or Drigg will puke big time.

So... I am happy to help, but I need help.

Thank you in advance!

Merc.

Hi Merc,

I would recommend this screencast for FeedAPI, it explains how it works:

I will try to contact FeedAPI developer and see if he can provide any help here.

Mehran

Hi,

The more I think about it, the more I think this is a FeedAPI issue...

Hi,

Sorry, but I I will consider the support for FeedAPI a feature request, rather than a bug report--especially since the original poster has disappeared without answering my question about a link to his/her request to the FeedAPI people.

Rek2: I wouldn't really keep my hopes up on this one...

Hi,

this is being implemented without using FeedAPI -- but piggibacking on News Aggregator instead.

So, I am closing this issue.

(It should be done very soon, BTW)

Bye,

Merc.
