Step 2a: Use the user categories integration

Last modified: October 29, 2008 - 08:46

After your content type to be used with node profiles has been created, click its edit option on admin/content/types. You should see a tab called node profiles if you had followed the previous steps correctly.

Turn on the user categories integration for your content type, so you get a new tab under /user/XX/edit where XX is your user id. You get there by the "My Account -> Edit" link.

The described way is only applicable to simple nodeprofiles, which consist of one type. If you want to build a more complex profile, try the solution 2b, which makes use of the pageroute module.

I didn't read carefully but...

...thought I would add this comment for clarification:

Turning on user categories integration can be done in a tab called: "nodeprofile" under the newly created CCK type after you've hit save and are editing it.

My understanding of this:

Edit the Content Type you created in step 1
Select 'Node profile'.
In the "Input Form Integration" section Check "Integrate this node profile with user categories'
Submit
Go to the Profile Page ("My Account -> Edit")
You should now see a "User Profile" section.

Hope that helps
