Hi everyone.

I've stumbled upon a problem that I can't really find a quick solution to. This is what I want to do: I have a custom content type with 10 CCK fields. I want to build two different searches.
1) A simple search that only search 3 of the CCK fields.
2) A "advanced" search that search all 10 CCK fields.

I have found a lot of great articles about searching in Drupal (Among others, lullabot has a great one here: http://www.lullabot.com/articles/custom_search_forms_views_and_fastsearch).

I have tried using cck + views + views_fastsearch + views_filterblock. This gives me a lot of possiblities, but searching through only certain cck fields is not one of them :(

Can anyone point me in the right direction here? Have anyone done this?

thanks for any input!

Best regards,
Thomas Kulvik

I have been doing some more checking and found that there is no modules or easy ways to actually do this. It seems that I have to write my own indexer, but I have no idea if there can exist more that one at the same time in Drupal. Have no one actually done anything at least near this before? :)

Again, any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,
Thomas
