unexpected T_Object_Operator line 849

Fresh install of Drupal 5.5, after I upload Extra Voting Forms to module section I get a White page of Death. Error_Log states:

"PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR in /home/bleucube/public_html/ideaion/modules/extra_voting_forms/extra_voting_forms.module on line 849"

If I remove module directory I no longer get White page of Death.

Need module for drigg. Would appreciate the support. Let me know what you need to troubleshoot.
