Hello all,

Based on the plethora of modules available I was wondering if you could be kind enough to possibly suggest modules worth reviewing and using for a site I am preparing that is all about building a community for developers:

Developers will register
...catalogue/upload their product details in a category
with a product name, description, keywords, version, icon, screenshot, etc
... system will send an email confirmation
... review stats, user views, comments, etc.
....

Users can navigate or search based on criteria,
... register to create their profile
... post comments, rate, refer to a friend
... contact developer
... can create their own groups or tagged items
... can invite others to this group
...
Have also a different class of user, such as a moderator

...
Subscribe to a newsletter
RSS syndicator feeds
Space for sponsors
WYSIWYG editor
FAQ
Reviews
News
Bookmark this page (delicious,etc)
...
...
As mentioned, its all about building a community, so any suggestions, comments will greatly be appreciated.

I use these on almost any Drupal site no matter what:
Views
CCK
PathAuto

Then according to your requirements
5 star
Organic Groups (and maybe some related modules)
TinyMCE
Service links http://drupal.org/project/service_links for delicious and Digg and others

a start anyways

Simplenews would be a starting point for the newsletters and TinyMCE + IMCE for the WYSIWYG. Almost everything else can be done with the standard modules. Good luck!
