Blending doesn't blend

Hello,

I cannot seem to get blending to work. See: http://snbc.org/front-page-slideshow

I looked through the bug list and I do not see any mentions of this so I assume that there is something wrong with the way I have things setup, or perhaps there is a javascript conflict somewhere.

Any help tracking this down is much appreciated.
