I just installed Drupal-5.5 and switched to the German localization. I noticed that there are layout problems (tested with both Konqueror and Firefox; see attached screenshot):
1) The left side menu is too narrow (German words tend to be longer than English ones). Could the menu width be resized dynamically according to translated text lengths? This way we would not waste space in English and have no overlapping text in German...
2) The text for the permission and status radio buttons is completely garbled. Looks like this is another text length / layout bug.
