Rather than have either a) the modified "drigg_drupal" distribution, which requires manual SQL dumping or b) installing Drigg manually, the Drigg modules and configuration can be distributed in a Drupal installation profile.

mercmobily commentedHi,
How do you do that?
Merc.
mercmobily commentedHi,
OK, I see that you do so using the Installation Profiles module ( http://drupal.org/project/Installation+profiles ). Are you at all able to create one for Drigg?
Bye,
Merc.

zwaldowski commentedI'm not really sure. Sorry.
However, I dugg up a bit of documentation here:
Installation Profile Generators
HOWTO: Write an installation profile for the Drupal installer
It seems that the profile is mainly an autoconfigurator, which could be really helpful for enabling and configuring all of the modules. I'm not really sure, but a profile may require separate downloading of modules (or, at least, manual copying to the proper directories).
It appears that the first link (Profile Generators) would be a very helpful replacement for drigg_distr.
As a plus, the second link (HOWTO) includes documentation for setting config variables, run queries, and even activate a custom theme.

mercmobily commentedHi,
I looked into the installation profiles, and...
Sorry, I won't do it. I find having a ready-to-go version of Drigg a much better option, especially for me.
If Installation Profiles provide a way of downloading modules automatically, AND if somebody sends me a fully working profile, I will most likely accept it.
Bye,
Merc.
