Multilangual site with subdomains

Hello this is my first day with drupal.

I have a question.
Is it possible to create a multi language site with subdomains like ru.mysite.com, en.mysite.com and to have available in the admin interface a module to translate this?
What will be the best version to do this 5.x or 6.x?
Is it possible to integrate in the drupal powered site wordpress?

If there are some tutorials that you can recommend me, it will be great.

Thanks for your time.

There is a problem with this, but I believe 6.x will fix it.
Right now you can use localization, to add your own language file basically. The only problem is, the user has to create an account and set this option, which is not very smart because maybe the guy cant figure out how to register because of his language in the first place.

There are some modules that try to fix this, but are either buggy or hard to set up.

It would be nice to be able to link a path to a language, and then be able to set small country flags of your translations so guests can immediately translate your site without effort.

A module to translate this, would be a google translate module, which exists, but I haven't tried it.

I don't think you want to integrate wordpress and drupal, since they both do the same thing.

Thanks,
"I don't think you want to integrate wordpress and drupal, since they both do the same thing." - I don't know for sure what are the differences but I like wordpress (it has a lot of plug ins).
Hope in drupal 6.x it will be possible to make multi language sites, because I don't enjoy the google translation method.
