We realize that the Drupal community is growing. One of the effects of this is that we needed better segmentation of concerns and focus. To that extent, we segregated the drupal.org forums. Specifically, we created a number of new forums like the services and hosting forum (for professional services, RFPs, hosting or anything business), the documentation forum, the media and document management forum (for developments related to documents, images and video), the social software and communities forum (for developments related to groups, users, profiles, moderation and rating), etc.
With Drupal 4.6.0 being released we would like to draw your attention to the usability forum. The forum is not intended to report bugs but is meant as a place to provide usability feedback. If this is the first time your use Drupal, take the time to write down your initial thoughts and experiences, and make sure to share them in the usability forum. If there is anything that confused you or your customers, or that could have been more intuitive, we would like to know.
If you feel there is a need for another forum, or if you have suggestions with regard to the organization of the forums, please post your comments below.
Also note that as of a few days ago, it is easy to subscribe to forums using a news reader. At the bottom of each forum, there is an orange RSS-button that leads to that forum's RSS feed. In future, we hope to provide e-mail subscriptions as well. We're still working on that.

More forums?
Is there a need for a 'Drupal in education' forum, a 'Drupal for blogging' forum, a 'Drupal for ecommerce' forum, a 'Drupal for campaigns' forum, etc? These would be more like discussion groups rather than working groups, not?
A wish upon a star
Can we have a wish list forum? I get the feeling in my water that some people are disproportionately annoyed when others request/describe features in the general forum. If there were a designated spot, then imaginations can run riot and invent the future and those that think such flights of fancy are a waste of time can avoid it.
Feature requests
People get annoyed because the appropriate place for this is is the issue tracker, which has a "feature request" category.
