Do you know what the error means and what to do now?

PHP 4.3.3 Requirement

I'm having this problem too (which I've mentioned elsewhere)... my question here: the only problem I've yet found with 4.6 running on my 4.3.2 is this issue with search. (so far!) Would there be a way to just "hack around" this for now? My problem is that upgrading the PHP on my server is literally next to impossible, just no fun. And it seems that 4.3.2 is *extremely* common. So this might be nice.

Just curious if anyone's found a fix besides downgrading drupal/upgrading PHP, or might have some advice for me.

PHP version

Check the requirements in the INSTALL.txt that came with Drupal.

You probably have an older version that does not support UTF-8 character encoding.

I also found some replay at

I also found some replay at http://drupal.org/drupal-4.6.0-rc#comment-30943 but my provider will not install php 4.3.3 or higher for now. I hope later but not in 2025 ...
