Instead of using Node Expire's own notification system, integrate with the Actions module to handle the notifications. This way you could do way more with it, like have it send you an SMS over your phone when a node is expired.

Rob,

as i said on http://drupal.org/node/207202, it would be great to make this module even more generic, like a "timer" module, that triggers any node actions defined.

i would like to see some help on this matter.

Yes! This sounds like a very good way to develop this module further! I can test any of these added features when they become available.

Guys,

im proud to say that its now integrated! well... instead the action module, which is very simplistic, i integrated with Rules module, that allows much better customizations.

Note that no update was provided yet. You will need to uninstall the old module and install the new version.
