I have the following error just popped up on my site. I haven't made any changes today - I did however, open my main site of which the erroring site is a subdomain (ie. test.mainsite.com) using Microsoft Expression Web (Think frontpage).

ERROR:
vti_encoding:SR|utf8-nl vti_timelastmodified:TR|23 Aug 2006 17:54:46 -0000 vti_extenderversion:SR|5.0.2.4803 vti_cacheddtm:TX|23 Aug 2006 17:54:46 -0000 vti_filesize:IR|291 vti_backlinkinfo:VX|

Could this be caused by opening the main directory in Expression Web? I have done this previously with no trouble, so I am a bit lost at the moment, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yes.

Remove all the directories that it added, and hopefully it will all work again.

I just find it a bit odd, I've edited my main site ooodles of times with Expression Web and suffered nothing like I did today!
