i there i'm really keen to try this module and to get it to work .....although i have hit a few snags in trying to do.

well the first problem is lack of info on how to implement this module ...... i think you left out where you tell us where to put the images for this function to work.
it is asking for a path but yeah not even a hint of where to put these files.

any help would be appreciated

Just put images in your root folder of Drupal instalation, then type in image Path field: image.jpg
or put images to some folder and type: themes/your_theme_name/your_folder_name/your_file_name.jpg
for example: themes/garland/images/menu/link01.jpg
