Out of interest, I just downloaded localizer 5.5-3.0-alpha-preview and tried to upgrade a copy of my current drupal 5.5 installation (I'm using PostgreSQL as database backend).
While running the update.php I got several errors, all related to MySQL specific code in the upgrade routine.
I manually upgraded all my localizer related tables inside my PostgreSQL database, which worked out, so that I now can run successfully the upcoming localizer version on my PostgreSQL based installation.
I'm attaching a patch file which incorporates the SQL commands that worked for me with PostgreSQL into the installation routines.
Thanks for providing localizer! Hopefully there will be localizer support for the upcoming drupal version 6 also.
Regards
Andreas
