It could be really nice if the module allowed to put a "post it" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Post-it_note) at a precise place at a specific page, as an help text. The post it could be placed with jquery drag and drop and precisely placed on the page using css. Each note would have a path metadata and an x and y position on the page.
I understand this may be totaly out of the scope of this module, so "won't fix" is maybe the destiny of this issue :-)

nancydruThere is someone who is looking at allowing extending this in a similar way (but probably not exact). Let's see what he comes up with. If it requires jQuery, you're out of luck with me because I don't have a clue about any of that stuff.
However, use of something that supports a "title" attribute (such as 'img' or 'acronym') could sort of do what you want. Have you looked at the Glossary module?
