Hello everyone:
My name is Jeremy Lim. My company, Project Opus Technologies, just launched a new product called Mixx Maker (http://www.mixxmaker.com) that hooks into Drupal via Facebook.
Currently only available as a Facebook application (http://apps.facebook.com/mixxmaker), Mixx Maker lets friends create digital mixtapes together by legally uploading songs to 'Mixxs'.
We'd love to hear your thoughts on it and field any questions you might have about integrating the Facebook API and Drupal together.
Cheers,
Jeremy

Kudos to the Opus Team on
Kudos to the Opus Team on yet another great project. Mixx Maker clearly serves as a perfect example of the diverse possibilities of Drupal. Would be great to learn more about how this project was implemented. Although I'm sure this was exhaustive in scope and specification in the case of Mixx Maker, but perhaps you can offer a breakdown of what is necessary to get Drupal to work with the Facebook API and describe some of the key elements you faced in the integration process.
Hi Super Druper: Thank you
Hi Super Druper:
Thank you for your kind words!
In truth, I'm the marketing guy from Project Opus, so I won't be able to help you much. (Having said that, I'll drag our developer down here to speak on things once he's out of his meeting.) Regarding the platform, I can tell you that we run on 5.2 and that getting Drupal to work with Facebook took what seemed to be a lot of trial and error. However, that is likely attributed to the security functions we put in place.
A blog post detailing those can be found here: http://www.mixxmaker.com/blog/how-mixx-stays-within-fair-use
Hopefully that sheds enough light on the process, for now.
Best regards,
Jeremy
You're running Drupal 5.2?
You're running Drupal 5.2? I'd suggest you update to the latest version of 5.x pretty quick (5.5) - which addresses security vulnerabilities with previous versions (especially seeing as you've just advertised that you're running an out-of-date copy...)
Good work on the integration tho' - and thanks for the link describing it.
Much appreciated and
Much appreciated and carefully heeded advice, tanoshimi. Thank you!
If you guys are in the Vancouver area, we'll be presenting at the upcoming Facebook Developer Camp in Vancouver on January 28th. A lot of us will be down there, if you'd like to ask us anything in person.
