Unfortunately, the issue about not showing the HtmlArea instead the textarea is still persistand.
"just letting you know that we´re having the same issues with 4.6 and htmlarea/xinha, it shows up in the admin and we´ve configured it so that part do work, but it just doesnt show up in any text fields whatsoever."
I tried the "Reset to defaults" approche as mentioned in the earlier post, but it doesn't do the trick for me.
Same setup, no result.
please, maybe you can find problem for good.

gordon commentedCan you please upload of copy of the static html so I can check the js and check what is wrong..
Basically in your browser go view source, save it, and then upload that. It will just make life alot simplier for me.
I am currently at lca and my access is limited, but I will do what I can.

druvision commentedHi Gordon,
Thanks for your latest HtmlAre patch for 4.6 from 7-May.
I am having similar problems with the new HtmlArea and I would like to test your fix.
Where can I get it? I've looked at the CVS and the latest files are as a drupal newbie I am confused.
Please help
Thanks

druvision commentedHi Gordon,
I am using the 4.6.0 module you've mentioned. I've downloaded in and installed it yesterday.
I've reinstalled a fresh copy today just in case but nothing was changed.
HtmlAreas are still not displayed.
This is not a fresh install - I've upgraded from drupal 4.5.1.
You pointed me to the latest release appearing in http://drupal.org/project/htmlarea (http://drupal.org/files/projects/htmlarea-4.6.0.tar.gz) but this release is dated 16/4/2005 - 05:15.
You wrote that the fix was done two days ago. So where is the updated release zip?
Also, unzipping Xinha saves it in the xinha-nighly subdirectory. is it OK?
gordon commentedTry renaming the xinha directory to just xinha, I will add the check for the xinha-nightly directory if it exists. If this doesn't work please upload the static html of the page and then I can see exactly what is happinging.

Dublin Drupaller commentedhey.
just tried installing the new version of hTML area with a fresh install of drupal 4.6.1 and it doesn't work..is the download missing something?
I seem to remember that there was an mysql file with older versions.
here's what I did:
1. fresh install of drupal 4.6.1 (working fine)
2. downloaded the latest version (today is June 9th)
3. download the xinha and uploaded as instructed
4. enabled the html module in the /admin/modules page.
5. popped into the settings/htmlarea page to have a look.
6. tried editing a page...but the text area remains the same..normally htmlarea would start up...
7. came in here and followed the other bugs and points..such as renaming the xinha-nightly folder to be /xinha/
Hope that makes sense..have a funny feeling I have missed something really obvious...anyone else experience the same?

Dublin Drupaller commentedjust thought I'd mention that I followed the same steps as above again...and it worked!
Must have been something to do with the xinha download...not certain, but, the only difference in what I did was the xinha downlod...
Thought I'd post this just in case someone else was scratching their heads...
