Paid affiliate hosting advertisement

The Drupal hosting forums have been deprecated. Unfortunately, several hosting companies and their affiliates have chosen to abuse the good will of the Drupal maintainers. The result is that recommendations about hosting companies are not accurate and in some cases even deceptive. We are currently evaluating other support options for hosting companies that will limit abuse.

Just googled "Free Drupal Host" and got all kinds of links to topics (on this forum) that asked this question.

This should answer you: Any Free host that supports Drupal?

You can try out

fweikeong - January 11, 2008 - 06:19

You can try out dotservant.com hosting sponsorship :-

http://www.dotservant.com/sponsorship/

maybe I could try it and see

zoffmann - January 11, 2008 - 19:37

maybe I could try it and see how things are working, it could be suitable for our orgnisation.

I wrote this post because I have tried several free hosts but no one has filled my expectations.

And I need a free (or very cheap) host only to show people what I have done - ie. for testing purposes.

6$ / month at siteground.com is not lot of money but what I will do with 750 Gb space anyway ?

if I can get 500mb for a 1$ (or free) I would be very happy.

If somebody knows such a provider feel free to answer.

Thanks
zoff

Top 10 WebHosts.

Most are under $6 US per month. Every once and a while you will see a nice sale to sign up on.... I've seen as low as $3.95 per month.

Most web-hosts are cPanel, and have what's known as "Fantistico" and yes, It is fantastic. It will automatically install many PHP based web-programs, including Drupal.

After your suggestion I have

After your suggestion I have done a small research on the internet and:

I have seen several sites in style "top ten webhosts" and the Hostmonster is the best rated.

Are they suitable for Drupal sites ?

fake lists

JohnForsythe - January 12, 2008 - 03:54

Most of these "top 10 webhost" sites are actually run by hosting companies. They list their own 3 or 4 different brands in slots 1-4 and then trade the rest with their friends in the industry.

Need reliable Drupal hosting?

Free hosting usually means

Free hosting usually means zero support and limited features.
If money is tight use a hosting coupon code in order to save on full-featured hosting.

Q: Is Host Monster good for Drupal?

A: Yes, It's perfect. They have a great support forum, and I have them as my host as of right now. I have not run into any problems.

hmm

JohnForsythe - January 13, 2008 - 00:24

Is this spam..? seems oddly out of context.

No, Not Spam

code_m - January 16, 2008 - 01:06

I am not spamming. Read my post ealier in the topic. I am reffering to hosts...

The topic was made to find a nice, cheap host, and I happen to have one. If you read my first post I attempted to find a free host like he wanted.

If you look on my 2nd post, you'll see "Top 10 Web Hosts" and after that you linked to a post about "AN HOSTING" which happens to be #7. I am not spamming.

Hostmonster good?

crazypenguin - January 18, 2008 - 16:37

Hostmonster is a puppet of Bluehost.

I would avoid both of them like the plague.
