Language selection in dropdown menu

Is there a way to have a dropdown menu for language selection ??
Actually i'm working with localizer which allows unordered list in a block, but with more than 3 langs, it's place consuming.
I suppose it would need few lines of code which I can't obviously and unfortunately do !!

This unanswered request is some months old by now. If someone has managed to build a dropdown menu for language selection, that would be very kind to share some knowledge here.
