Per content type?

It would be awesome if the permissions were slightly more granular, so you could assign the permission to a role, but only for these content types. It's sort of the same issue as this is trying to solve. If I assign the "edit author" permission to the authenticated role, any content types that an authenticated role is able to edit they will be able to edit the author as well. If I only wanted authenticated users to be able to edit the author of those content types I want, I can't do it.
