I'd like to be able to have a link show up on the 'node' page created by feed items on my site, something like 'click here to read the full story'

i'd like to be able to get mine to not show that link. i've unchecked and checked the box and rebuilt the tables. still shows up. grrrrr.

You must enable feedapi node view module. That's it. I posted a request for the README to be updated to reflect this somewhere. Plus I think I posted this same problem a week or two ago and was given the solution. So be sure to check fixed and closed issues before posting. It's the nice thing to do.
