This would generate a block (only for that node) in which would be a list "p2, p3" witch links to the node as node?page=x
This would be a great feature instead of 'only' having a pager without any information on bottom.

Parsing this format
would be a hurdle, while maintaining backward compatibility, and several other aspects.
