It is very strangle but after updating and active forum module for first time in 4.6 when i try to post a new forumm topic i can´t. The forum show 1more new (link) but the topic count remain 0 and i can read the post.
I discus this in http://drupal.org/node/20747 and the admin. of the http://drupal.org.es chek my web ( http://drupal.org.es/node/41 ) but nobody could find the solution. I think that it can be a big bug.
My site is http://www.1000monologos.com/forum. (the web is in spanish). I send admin pass after request in aldelcast@gmail.com

laura s commentedI did not have this experience. Let me share what I did, and perhaps that will reveal either an admin settings cul de sac or a glitch in code.
1 - I upgraded
2 - In admin/forums I created a forum container (which I believe should not be required)
3 - I created a forum
4 - In admin/categories I created a new vocabulary and added a term
5 - I posted test posts (successful)
Note: I did not try to add forums to the existing main taxonomy category (where they lived before). I did not have existing forum posts (until they were given separate treatment I did not have use for them on the site in question).
I hope this may help rule out where any bug does not live, at least.

dumell commentedI found this node when searching, and was dissapointed to see that the problem I was having, had been reported quite a long time ago but resultet in no responses. Well, it turns out there are work-around available now:
http://drupal.org/node/22960
http://drupal.org/node/26583
Thought I should mention them here for others to find. I lost one day finding this node and thinking this was it - no solution available, when in fact, solutions are available and discussed elsewhere.
