1 have option when image clicked from teaser (custom view) that it be pionted to node body, not popup window. That is very very important to make it very useful for most people for me too.
2 options to control what media types which is inserted to node per content type: only images, only video, only sound. Example only images to story content type or only videos to blog content type and so on.
3 and the posibility to insert images when creating node not to attach later (after pressing submit button), but leaving this possibility per user roles
