In thickbox module it's possible to choose which version of the image u want it to show. it fetch possible options from Image module "admin/settings/image" so for example u can create a new thumbnail with new size only for using with thichbox.

Is this option or something similar available for lightbox2?

Hi,

No, there's no such option in Lightbox2. I'll have to take a look at what's involved in implementing this before I can tell you whether we will provide such an option or not in the next release. It sounds like a neat idea though.

I added the feature ;). i tested it and i guess it works fine.
I attached the patch would you please have a look at it and tell me if did it correctly (since i'm not an experienced module developer).

Thanks for the patch. There were a few issues with it, including lack of support for the method of displaying images as described here. So I made some changes and checked it into CVS. It should be available in the next dev release which will be available later today.
