Description

Node relativity adds some nice functionality. For example I can make a node type called "Travelogue" which can have children of the type "Waypoints". When my client adds a travelogue and post it, he will get some options in the node body "add children". These children will then be waypoints where I use location fields and gmap to give the nodes the location.

If gmap_addons' gmap_cck could have an option to map children from node relativity, then I would have a very simple interface for the client to create the waypoints needed. As it is now I let him select the waypoints from a node-reference field, which of course makes it neccessary to have created the waypoints in advance. At least with nodeformpopup I have a partial solution where the client can add new waypoints while creating the "Travelogue".

Of course, with the Node Relativity solution it would be a much more streamlined process.

An ADDITIONAL request would be an option to use different markers for the children based on either type, which might be the best, or taxonomy.

With type I could create three waypoint types (waypoint_via, waypoint_start, waypoint_end) and set that a travelogue only is allowed to have 1 or 0 children of each of the two last types, and an unlimited number of the first type. Thus the interface would be virtually foolproof.
