Admin theme changing to frontend theme after saving in random sections

I am having a problem when saving say after enabling/disabling a module that Drupal switches from the Garland theme back to the theme I am using in the frontend of my site (using a custom theme). Anybody having this problem and know of a fix? Very frustrating and I am not wanting to break my consitency between admin and public.
