The stuff of my club needs to make hidden notes (comments) to articles (nodes) written by members and the comments should be visible only for the stuff.
I have tried Annotate module and found out that it limits visibility only to author and admin but we need sharing of the comments between some stuff keeping them invisible for members.
Additionally I should say that when I tested the module admin couldn’t see hidden comments. Maybe it was a bug ...

Thanks for testing and reporting.

The annotate (private) is for making private nodes.

The annotate_ed (in dev) is for editorial nodes. But I haven't put a 'view annotation' permission in it. You could sponsor this feature if you want.

The annotate_ym (in dev) is a node type. With ie OG or TAC one can restrict access. But I need a lot of time/money for that to finish.

The functionality asked for turned out to be annotate_ym. Which is under development.
