Drupal is one of thousands of software projects that are open source. For this task, we ask you to learn about open source yourself and then create a presentation that you could give to your school to explain to your teachers and administrators how using open source software could help the school.
You should first become familiar with open source software in general. Feel free to use any resources you can find, but the following sources might be helpful:
* Open source initiative (http://www.opensource.org/)
* Wikipedia entry for Open Source (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_source)
After learning what open source means, think of how using open source software could beneift your school. Create a presentation listing at least 5 open source software tools that could help your school. For each tool, you should write at least a 2-3 sentence explanation of how the tool would benefit your school.
Deliverables:
* A short presentation that lists at least 5 open source software tools that could benefit your school.
* Your presentation should be in a standards compliant and easily accessible format, such as a .pdf file.
* You should upload your presentation file as an attachment to this issue. The task will be considered complete when it is marked as RTBC by a reviewer.
Resources:
* Open source initiative (http://www.opensource.org/)
* Wikipedia entry for Open Source (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_source)
NOTE: Although Drupal is one of many open source software projects, it is not the only one. You should feel free to discuss other open source software projects as well.

Done the presentation. What do you guys think? Any changes needed, or is it finished?
#3
Had you done this for something else before you took the ghop task? That was very quick.
#4
Nope, just wasn't hard. I have experience of open source so I know about LOTS of different scripts and applications.

This looks like a really good start, but I do have a couple points of feedback.
Page 2:
The third bullet has "developed" spelled "developer" the bullet could also read a little better, it's somewhat difficult to understand.
The Fourth bullet reads more like a heading than a bullet, adding a page between 2-3 which has that as a heading and lists an overview of the 5 open source projects you're going to talk about would be a good idea.
Page 3:
On the third bullet, specifying intranet web site would be less ambiguous, as intranet can refer to a internal network as well.
Page 4:
Regarding the third bullet, aclight will have to comment on this, since the task says "your school", but I think it would be nice to keep the language directed at how open source software can help schools in general, rather than just one specific school.
Other than that I think there are a couple grammatical things, and in general places where the wording could be cleaned up a little, but you're off to a great start.

Schools in general is perfectly fine as well.

I'll make those changes tonight and then repost. Hopefully then it can be closed :). Thanks!

I've made some changes. I've done the things that beeradb suggested as well as cleaned up the wording in some places (attatched)

This looks good to me. Good work.
