(then there can be infos "user aaa post item in user bbb guestbook" in activity block)

The guestbook module is undergoing a partial rewrite from what
I understand so let's keep this issue open until things settle down
in the guestbook project after which we can look into integration.

I think the guestbook is converting to nodes? If that's the case there should be no need for a new module from this side.
