Drupal India-Broken link
If possible, can the link be replaced from drupal.in (inactive) to indiandrupal.com
I'm setting up indiandrupal.com to promote the use of Drupal in India (The audience would be non-technical or new users/developers)
I am currently co-ordinating efforts with the owner of edrupal.com (drupal developer community site in India) to support the use of Drupal in India
Thanking you,
SteveJB

killes@www.drop.org commentedDoes anybody know what happened to drupal.in?
stevebayerin commentedFrom Jan 2007 (I only knew about Drupal in Jan 2007) to about June 07, drupal.in had a lot of spam comments. I wasn't tracking the drupal project from June 07 to November 07.
From November till a few days ago, drupal appeared to have been re-installed on drupal.in
The front page was the default drupal configuration page for the admin to create his first account (a captcha was added for registration but no content page was created.)
If a site were to be the official support site for a region, what criteria or requirements would the site have to meet?
vinayras commentedI dont think Drupal people had any criteria for marking a website as official region website for promoting Drupal.
I think they will take care of this now and change the url so an active website, that is "actually" doing some work comes into view.

stevebayerin commentedI haven't been able to raise much interest in the site. (http://indiandrupal.com) or had the time to improve it that much.
I've started aggregating the g.d.o job feed to the site, that should bring in more visitors (max seems to be 6 unique visitors a day according to GA.)
vinayras commentedHi,
eDrupal.com has been able to generate little bit of interest (though very much below expectation). But i have seen a good improvement during month of March 2008 (almost 120% increase from Feb 2008).
Right now i am getting anywhere between 90 - 140 unique visitors per day making 1000+ hits per day.
Personally i feel there is still lots of work to be done on website.
Suggestions / tips are always welcomed.
Thanks

stevebayerin commentedSince my site (http://indiandrupal.com) hasn't gained much traction or led to any tangible improvement concerning the development of Drupal in India and since http://drupalindia.in is the official host of the first Indian language translation for Drupal 6, I'm nominating http://drupalindia.in to be the official Indian support site for Drupal.
Edit:
http://indiandrupal.com now redirects to http://drupalindia.inwith the approval of the owner of http://drupalindia.inPost on http://groups.drupal.org/node/3412#comment-32369 references granted permission.
New Edit:
While http://drupalindia.in can be the official site, I'm re-activating my site (http://indiandrupal.com) for dev purposes/tech demos.

lut4rp commentedThe drupal.in website is currently owned and managed by Warren Noronha (wnorrix: http://drupal.org/user/7344)
I have sent a message to Warren regarding the website, and regarding its future. Let me get a reply, after which we can decide what to do.
Anyway, I would prefer that the official Indian community be of the type drupal.[domain] (rather than edrupal.com or drupalindia.in etc.)
wnoronha commentedlut4rp and are are working out a long term solution for this. I have also taken this up with dries after we completed the drupal internship (which was sponsored by civicspace).

gloscon commentedJust FYI http://www.drupalindia.in also has a good traction and reach for example http://drupalcamp08.drupalindia.in has hundreds of drupal lovers already registered including some leading businesses.
Would love to help.

avpadernoAs per #6, I am setting this report as "won't fix". The current Indian Drupal site seems to not have anymore problems.
