Importing Images And Entering URLs

I am building a music blog that allows visitors to submit their music and an image along with it. The audio import is great for creating a node from the files that user's upload. But for the image I have to download it and upload when I'm editing the audio node created after I import the MP3. I've done a lot of customization on the submit form using CCK which is why I'm not using the audio node form for submissions.

It would be very helpful if I could have a choice to select from a list of images in a certain directory or have option of just entering a path to an image.
