I'd like the term to be forced by the original content author and not to be reset by editors (my site allows users other than the author to edit). The resetting by editor screws up my taxonomy access control. It would be great if you could set an option that only the author forces the taxonomy.

Title: Option to not reset term when edited by someone other than the original author » Should work even when you take away access to administer taxonomy

I agree, the term should be forced when the node is created only, not when its edited.

We could let the administrator decide if the term will be reset or not, or even better, append the new term when modifying the node... We could work on adding that kind of functionality on the module admin page.

ad 2) Fixed. On node creation, the current user's forced term is used. On node edit the node owner's forced term is used.

ad 3) I'm not sure this is necessary. An admin with the right permissions will be able to change the term.
