Move yield logic out of the theme function

The theme_recipe_node() has a lot of logic at the top of the function. While I get that this is mostly just changing the presentation for custom yields, it becomes a bit cumbersome when you try to theme the recipe node. Is there any benefit to moving that code into hook_load and adjusting the values there?
