I wanted to test out the forums and I am glad I did because they do not work for me at all.
I created a container and then created two forums inside the container. When i try to create a new topic and hit the submit button it does not show up in the forum. It doesn't show up anywhere. Yet the topic post is published and I can access it through the admin console. Anyone have any ideas. I did also install Advanced Forums to see if maybe that would help but I get the same thing.

Have you created categories and terms? And when you created your forum topic, did you categorize the item so it would fit into a forum?

When you create the forums it automatically creates categories and terms based off what you named the forum and container. Unless there is more to it than that no I have not created any on my own.

So when you create a new forum topic, is there a drop down list of categories under the title field? If so, then you need to select one to put your forum topic in. Then it will appear.

Seems to be working now. Not sure what I did to fix it though.
