Currently editing the profile node is just the stock CCK edit form with all the fields stuck on there. It's a very long and intimidating form for users. I plan to change it over to using panels and get more control over the layout, possibly using tabs for sections.

This is a tricky one because splitting a form across panes is not an easy task.

There is work being done for OG to make customizable group pages that I'm going to try and adapt to profiles when it's done. That will be much better than trying to stick the normal edit form into a panel so I'm just waiting on that work.

It does, yes, but there's more to this issue than simply breaking things into tabs.

my project requires all the data in a page just as myspace and also edit ir inone page, edit my profile, i have the fields in other tab, but i want to merge both tabs
