All users can subscribe to restricted content

By using "My subscriptions" users can select the restricted content type in the Content Access module. I have tested all roles and they get an "Access denied" message by trying to visit the restricted content type on the web, but they can subscribe to the restricted content type and get an email when the page is updated, bypassing the restriction.
