Would it be possible to give an option to limit the posts by content type? That's actually what I thought the module would do, but after installing it, I was wrong :) For instance, instead of the "submissions" text, there could be a selection box with all of the content types (or an option for "all content types"). I think that would be a very powerful feature, and anyone who already uses the module will just have theirs default to "all content types" if they choose to upgrade.

Have you checked out the node family module. One of it's feature is to limit the number of nodes of a given content type a given user can have.

Thanks for the response. Yes, I did check out Node Family, but no one answered my question there about OG compatibility. Also, someone asked if it can limit based on role, but that went unanswered as well. I might just install it on a test install to see how it works. But it doesn't seem too difficult to get Quota by Role to add this functionality - a dropdown would need to be added for the content type, and that content type would be added to the WHERE statement of the query which does the post count (with a case allowing all content types). But then again, I'm a horrible programmer, so it may be more complicated than I think :)
