Just thought I'd test out the dev 2.x version.

It gives me a security update warning that the 2.0 release version did not.

See the following:

Spam 5.x-1.1-2
Recommended version: 5.x-1.1-2 (2007-Oct-17) Download · Release notes
Security update: 5.x-3.x-dev (2007-Dec-03) Download · Release notes
Includes: Spam

Now - As you can see I have the recommended version installed and the security update is a -dev build. The 2.0 release of update status didn't flag this.

I'm not certain - this could be correct functionality - were it not for the -dev I would have thought it a bug in the 2.0 release of u-s. But - since the next package is -dev I wasn't sure.

Thought I'd better flag it just in case

I believe that update_status is behaving as expected.

http://drupal.org/node/196032 is tagged as a security update, but I don't believe -dev releases should ever be tagged that way because it makes no sense (no way to tell when the security issue was fixed).

removed the term. we should never allow that term on -dev release nodes. another item for http://drupal.org/node/210497.
