I am very new -- 30 days.
How do I turn off the days until the event. I have been reading about a file called event.theme but I cannot find it in 5.1. Also can some one recommend a better program than notebook to edit code. thanks,

I don't know anything about your event question but I recommend Notepad ++ (a free download). It has a lot of features you will find usefull as you move forward with drupal.

you should seriously consider updating to Drupal 5.6, you are 5 security releases behind and are unprotected from known security vulnerabilities.
