Description

I saw a support request that said that the arrows to change between months had been removed.

I hope you will consider adding these back in, even if just as a option in the configuration settings.

I'm hoping to use the calendar like it is implemented in wordpress and don't want to have to use the overall archive page at all.

Thanks

The reason I removed the arrows is because I find them useless, though there's a setup where I think they'd be useful: if the "next" and "previous" links for months took you to the archive page for that month instead of changing the archive block month.

What is the use case for wanting to browse the archives in the very limited way in a block where the whole page needs to refresh. If there's a full page refresh involved anyways, why not use the more full-featured archive page to browse by date?

Adding the feature that the month displayed by the block could vary from the current month adds a lot of code and messes up the URL, all for something I don't think too many people find useful, though a lot of Wordpress bloggers seem to have. I'm going to mark this a won't fix unless someone a) provides a path or b) thinks that the prev/next month links pointing to the archive page are acceptable.

It's a pity that this function was taken out. I rather liked it. It gave the calendar on my frontpage more functionality. Now I have to place an additional link to the archive. :(

I'm also disappointed this isn't working any longer. It makes more sense to leave this as a configuration option.
