Hello
This module is very much appreciated. I am considering the choiced I have, such as buddylist (doesn't look like it will be ported to D6), and user_relationships. I am seeing you plan to port this for D6 after a stable D5 release.
I would like to know if this module is usable already in a production D5 site. I have a high-traffic site. If I enable it only for my VIP/tester users, if something goes wrong all I have to do is delete the buddylist tables, right ? Does it store data anywhere else or change any other tables ?
thanks
Leo

nodestroy commentedHi,
yes, as soon as there is a stable d5 release, i will port it to d6.
data is only saved in the two buddylist tables (buddylist & buddylist_pending_requests) + there are three views which comes with the modules.
i have tested buddy_api und buddylist_ui and found no more bugs, but i would recommend to test it on a own test site.
anyway, if something goes wrong, only the two buddylist tables are affected.
regards,
nodestroy

gangaloo commentedthanks for your commitment on working on this module.
looking forward to a nice finish to 5.x stable so the port over can start occuring to D6. =D

rodrix commentedThanks for the mod is very useful, however I am really confused.
Should I go for BuddyList2 or User Relatioships? User Relationships seems to have a release version and this one is still in beta. Although Advanced Profile Kit seems to show no support for User relationships.
What would you recommend for a production site going online in a month expecting high traffic? BuddyList1, BuddyList2, or User Relationships?
I really need a simple add Friends/ View Friends, not really a complex thing such as College/Worker/etc (although if it's recommended it would be nice).
Thanks for everything!
Rod

merakli commentedI have the same issue. Any advice? Has anybody tested these modules?

crizBuddylist2 is an improved version of Buddylist for Drupal 5.x. Splitted in Buddy API and some other modules like Buddylist UI or Buddy API Invite. Buddy UI relies on Usernode and Views, but with Buddy API you would be able to build your own UI on it too.
We will soon start a community with Buddylist2. It works great so far and I would say the module is really ready for productive use. We are testing it very accurate, but have not found any more relevant issues so far.
A Buddylist/Buddylist2 port for Drupal 6 is also in work. It will hopefully support user relationships like the User Relationships Module. This module has some great features that would be nice to have in Buddylist too, but seems to be not maintained any more? So our decision is clear, our efforts are going into Buddylist/Buddylist2.

SeanBannister commentedThat sounds great I look forward to Buddylist2 in Drupal 6. User Relationships module was good but because Buddylist2 has a good API I think the integration is much better for Developers and users.
