I've created a simple author>reviewer>publisher workflow. But I seem to have an issue before it begins. The author has the permission (set in roles) to schedule workflow. The author also has permission to move created articles to the next workflow state. But when they create content (I've assigned the workflow to the content type already), they don't have the workflow option at the bottom of the create content form, but they do have a workflow tab. But I can't schedule content from this workflow tab. I'm using workflow with actions and workflow access.

Any ideas where to start??

I solved my own issue! The author had rights to move something from the creation state, to a state I created called "submitted". Since that is the only state change he is allowed, I guess it doesn't show. I added one more state called "rejected" and allowed the author to move things from creation to "submitted" or "rejected" and it now appears there for me.

Yes, this is a feature that if there is only one state change possible from creation then it happens automatically.
