Hotel La Chaumiere
AlpesInfo - January 24, 2008 - 10:49
This is my first Drupal site, nothing special. I did the theme myself from scratch, it is pretty simple as themes go. I used advice from nerdliness and neemtree on creating themes.
Modules used are pathauto and XML Sitemap for SEO reasons and i18n for the bilingual setup.

Nice, I like the overall
Nice, I like the overall look of it, very simple and straight to the point. I like the colors.
I once tried to setup a multilingual website with no luck, I didn't try very hard really, I guess I will have to look into it again.
Any way, it is very easy to use and to me it has all the info needed without getting overloaded.
Congrats.

Very nice!
It's wonderful, especially considering it's your first go at a Drupal theme! Glad our nerdliness stuff was helpful. Jeremy and Fredric are pretty good that way.
Looks like a beautiful hotel, too.

I have also added in the use
I have also added in the use of image and thickbox for displaying images.
I have to say that I am not very impressed with the image handling abilities of drupal. I can manage them ok but to set it up so that my client can do so is looking pretty unlikely so far.
I have also not been able to find a decent wysiwyg module that handles french text with accented characters. If anyone has any experience of one that works please let me know. I have tried TinyMCE, FCK Editor, niceedit and htmlarea. all of which are not workable from my clients perspective.

some meta-tag needed
After I have a overview on the site, I think add in some meta-tag on keywords, description, and so on, will make your site searchable. try out the SEO Checklist.
Simple is nice
The site tells all!

Nice and clean. Really suits the subject. I felt like putting on another jumper after looking at it. Good work.
