INSTALL.txt for Drupal 5.6 ($Id: INSTALL.txt,v 1.39.2.3 2008/01/10 22:14:24 drumm Exp $) under the requirements section, third paragraph, has a link to d.o. that returns Access Denied. The link is http://drupal.org/node/260
REQUIREMENTS
------------
Drupal requires a web server, PHP4 (4.3.5 or greater) or PHP5
(http://www.php.net/) and either MySQL (http://www.mysql.com/) or PostgreSQL
(http://www.postgresql.org/). The Apache web server and MySQL database are
recommended; other web server and database combinations such as IIS and
PostgreSQL have been tested to a lesser extent. When using MySQL, version 4.1
or greater is recommended to assure you can safely transfer the database.
For more detailed information about Drupal requirements, see "Requirements"
(http://drupal.org/requirements) in the Drupal Handbook.
Guidelines for setting up a server environment with a variety of operating
systems and in special cases are available in the Drupal handbook
(http://drupal.org/node/260)
(Please feel free to correct this issue if I've filed it into the wrong queue.)

keith.smith commentedThis one is actually a duplicate, by just a few minutes. There's a (currently) RTBC patch in the Drupal queue waiting to be committed that will modify the documentation, since the link was apparently unpublished for a reason [that I do not know]. It's at http://drupal.org/node/214213.
THANK YOU for taking the time to report it and create an issue though -- if for some reason the other patch doesn't move forward, we can reopen this one and work this from the opposite side.
