I have set up a site using Comment Mail, and right now the site is having a problem that I think is related to Comment Mail's Ban feature. I'm not sure how this could happen, but it seems that someone at the organization has banned their own IP address (how could a spam message submitted and show up as coming from themselves?) Anyway, the main issue is ... how do you unban an IP address now that it's been banned?

I get the following error messages:
Firefox: (simple text page comes up)
Sorry, 66.51.221.240 has been banned.
IE: (standard browser error screen)
You are not authorized to view this page.

The banning feature is nice, but without a way to reverse it has led to a very big problem on this site, and you may want to upgrad this issue to a feature request or a bug as appropriate.

The solution turned out to be very simple - I looked in the access table and saw the ip address in question listed there with the status set to 0. I don't know what all the fields are used for but I deleted the entire entry and now my users can access the site again.

Where is the admin interface for this stuff? Does it exist? There should be both links for banning users and a page listing banned users so they may be unbanned.

Status: Active » Closed (works as designed)

You can access the interface in Administer > User management > Access rules, if I'm not mistaken.
