Dear sirs,

I've been trying your sidecontent module with a test installation of Drupal 5.6 and I am having a problem with adding content to a page that is promoted to the front page.

It simply doesn't show up.

When, instead I add the sidecontent to other pages, everything works fine.

Any idea of why this is happening or is it by design?

It's by design, the Sidecontent block only shows on the page that it contains info for, i.e. if you add some Sidecontent content to a node, that's the node it will display on.
