I am building 3 separate drupal sites and would like users to authenticate and carry account info between all three sites.

In other words, all account information is uniform across all three of the sites. Can this be done?

If the databases are on the same server you can Share the necessary tables between the 3 sites. Search for shared database tables. Never done it myself but have read about it.
