after a whole day going crazy trying to figure out how to make playlists work, looking into the issues:

among others, i found out that all the time i was missing some files in my audio folder, everyone talked about audio_attach.module and audio_playlist.module, but they don't come with the 5.x-1.3 version!! where are they??!! how can i get them!!?? please, make some documentation about this to prevent other users from the sufering i've gone through (and still going, since i still don't have those modules)

You can find these modules in the 5.x-2.x-dev branch. If you go to http://www.drupal.org/project/audio and then click "view all releases" it will have a page with every branch. Scroll down and you'll find the 5.x-2.x-dev branch which has the audio attach and playlist modules.
